I Wrote and Sang Machala From the Beginning to the End, Berri Tiga Calls Out Carter Efe

Talented fast rising singer, Berri Tiga has broken his silence after his hit track ‘Machala’ with skit maker, Carter Efe got taken down from widely-used streaming platforms.

Berri Tiga, a rising has accused Carter Efe, a content developer and skit-maker of stealing his idea for the song “Machala.”

He went live on Instagram to say all the recognition the comedy act is getting for the song is rightfully his.

Carter’s Machala starring Tiga was published on July 29th, and it quickly rose to the 14th spot of 50 on the afrobeat charts, joining the ranks of such artists as Burna Boy, Davido, Rema, and his idol, Wizkid.

Berri Tiga claimed in the Instagram session that he composed, arranged, and performed the entire song alone.

After being asked by fans if he was responsible for producing the hit song, he decided to come clean.

He claims complete ownership of the lyrical content and vocal performance of Machala. Tiga went even farther, saying that he is at a loss as to why the song was removed from all digital distribution outlets.

He said: “I effing sang Machala. I wrote and I sang Machala 100% bro. I wrote Machala, I sang Machala from the beginning to the end.”
